United are certainly not messing around in this transfer window…

In the past few years, well, to be more specific, since 2006, United have not really spent that much in the transfer windows to invest in players for the squad. We’ve not really needed to, to be fair, but Sir Alex and co. have received much criticism because of that – investment is always necessary to move forward, and of course, the hypocritical quote from David Gill himself: ‘Debt is the road to ruin’ and with no investment, that’s certainly where the club will go. A natter with the enemy: Barca vs UNITED

Ahead of the Champions League final this coming Saturday, Spencer from totalBarca very generously took time out to answer some of our questions. From improving Barcelona, to rejecting Anderson. Here’s what he had to say: Read the rest of this entry

United vs Chelsea: 5 quick reactions.

1) How did Chicharito not get a hattrick today? He got in great positions time and time again, and you’d have bet your house on him scoring more often than not. What a signing he’s been though, £6m and to get 2o goals in his first season so far is outstanding. The last player to do that for us was Ruud van Nistelrooy. Not bad for an unknown nobody from Mexican obscurity. Read the rest of this entry

Does Darron Gibson have what it takes?

It seems every club has a scapegoat. A player who always appears to fail to perform but is yet picked regularly by the manager. Darron Gibson is Manchester United’s.

Rarely have I seen praise for Gibson from United fans and it always seems it’s his fault when the team doesn’t win or performs below par. Despite this, though, Sir Alex Ferguson, one of the greatest manager’s of all time who has won countless silverware, continues to pick him. The Northern Ireland international has made 20 appearances this season, scoring just twice, and played 58times in total for United.

United outclass Schalke in Europe

This may be the best performance I’ve ever seen from the boys in Red this evening in Germany. Manchester United totally outclassed Schalke 04 this evening in a game that ended up being 0-2 to the reds. Fantastic performance.

In the semi-final of the Champions League, you would of thought it would of been a very tight game. Not tonight, we were class. Totally dominated the Germans this evening, with 18 attempts on goal, but for Neuer, Schalke were very very disappointing.

UNITED vs Everton: Reaction.

United love to keep our stress levels up don’t they? Frustrating us for 80+ minutes with poor decision-making and crap corners, then popping up with a late goal as if to say “ha, got’cha! Just teasing!”. Beautiful bastards.

City vs UNITED: Reaction.

There aren’t many words strong enough to describe how I felt at full time yesterday. Embarrassed, yes. Disgusted, that too. But I think the most accurate word is one I don’t often use when referring to Manchester United. I was ashamed. Read the rest of this entry
