Who is David De Gea? An Atletico Madrid fan tells all.

Over the past few months, United have been heavily linked with Atletico Madrid keeper, David De Gea. Those rumours were proved correct when, last month, Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed that we’re interested in signing the Spanish stopper.

Not much is known of De Gea, so we got in contact with Julio Megía – an Atleti fan who runs the Forza Atleti blog. Julio speaks very highly of his club’s keeper, and you can read what he had to say below.

United outclass Schalke in Europe

This may be the best performance I’ve ever seen from the boys in Red this evening in Germany. Manchester United totally outclassed Schalke 04 this evening in a game that ended up being 0-2 to the reds. Fantastic performance.

In the semi-final of the Champions League, you would of thought it would of been a very tight game. Not tonight, we were class. Totally dominated the Germans this evening, with 18 attempts on goal, but for Neuer, Schalke were very very disappointing.

Manchester United return to the States.

With the end of the season only around the corner, United have confirmed what many already knew – that we will be returning to the USA in Summer for another pre-season tour.

Last year’s pre-season was a memorable one, no doubt with thanks to Chicharito’s first appearance for/against United, when we played Chivas Guadalajara. Read the rest of this entry

Douglas Costa on his way to Old Trafford in the summer?

Recent reports can confirm that Douglas Costa watched Manchester United’s match against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday from the Old Trafford directors’ box. Now this may not mean anything exciting, but it’s looking promising. A few years later, the same story seems to be cropping up again for the Brazilian attacking midfielder, who would do well at any club.

Papers cause a stir with Kiko misquote.

[tweetmeme source=”Ramble_United” only_single=false]

Today, news has been doing the rounds that Federico Macheda has called Rooney all sorts of things while on International duty with the Italy U-21’s, such as ‘vile’, ‘vulgar’, ‘working class’, amongst other insults. Now I’ve been fighting his corner all afternoon after reading one of the only papers to get it slightly right – the Guardian – who actually mentioned the word that Kiko said.  Read the rest of this entry
